Green tea is made from the leaves of the plant growing in China and Southeast Asia and known under the name Camellia sinensis. White tea, oolong (the leaves of Camellia sinensis are withered under strong sun to get this variety) , green tea and even black tea are made from the leaves of this plant. The difference which allows to get different teas from the same plant lies in processing and oxidation.
Different varieties of green tea were got as a result of different growing conditions, processing and harvesting time. Pure green tea and green tea with strawberries and lemon are used for the treatment of different diseases. The studies show that green tea has a strong antioxidant effect, helps to reduce body mass and prevents a number of serious diseases including heart disease and even cancer. Green tea is the irreplaceable drink for obese people who want to increase the metabolic rate without harm to health, as it boosts the speed of chemical reactions in the body without increasing heart rate.
